Biography

Jodie decided to further her training in Musical Theatre as she could not choose whether she preferred dancing or acting. She studied full time for two years at ‘Stella Mann’ gaining professional musical theatre training.

From here Jodie furthered her studies in a one year post graduate course in Screen Acting at ISSA ‘The International School of Screen Acting’. She graduated in August 2005.

After graduating Jodie took part in two short films where she played Lilly Stavross a feisty vampire in ‘The Wanderers Incursion’ with the company Ambition Media. The other being ‘Bysshe’ a period drama where she played Claire/Jane with company Overman Productions.

In early 2006 Jodie took part in a fringe theatre production playing Mary in the ‘Women at the Tomb’ with Act provocateur.

Jodie signed with Montagu Associates in June 2006.

In August 2006 Jodie played Vicky in ‘Pills,thrills and Automobiles’ with Ape Theatre company. This was a TIE tour, that toured all over the country until December 2006.

In January 2007 Jodie was asked back with Ape Theatre company playing Judy in ‘Too much Punch for Judy’ she finished this in Mach 2007.

In September 2007 Jodie went back to Ape for a third time playing Jazz in ‘Legal Weapon’, this finished in December 2007.

In April 2008 Jodie played Lucy in a teenage pregnancy commercial with 'Another film Company’.

In January 2009 Jodie returned to Ape playing Vicky in 'Pills,thrills and Automobiles. This was a short tour that finished in february 09.

In 2012 Jodie was invited to return to the role of Judy in Too Much Punch For Judy.

Whether its an uplifting comedy or a heart wrenching drama Jodie always rises to the occasion.

Jodie was born in Stevenage Hertfordshire in 1984.

She has been dancing since she was 3yrs and acting since she was 4yrs.

Whilst she was at junior school she went to classes outside i.e ballet, tap and disco, she also went to ‘Top Hat Stage and Screen school’ at weekends, participating in many shows.

When Jodie was at senior school she was part of the ‘Lyton Players’ the local youth theatre group where she starred in Annie and played Audrey in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.

Jodie also took part in the school productions such as ‘Bugsy Malone’ where she played Tallulah and many dance and talent shows.

Jodie won the Drama award at school. During weekends Jodie would take part in many Ballroom competitions all over the country, she did this for two years.

Jodie used to teach tap and disco dancing at her local dance school ‘The Andrews Dance School’ during these years she starred in many shows at the ‘Gordon Craig Theatre’, one of which playing the Bluebird in ‘The Magical BlueBird’

In the year 2000 Jodie appeared at the Gordon Craig in the pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ as ensemble, Toby Anstis played Jack the leading role.

When Jodie finished school she further developed her passion while following her studies by taking a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts specializing in Drama she completed the course in 2002 gaining 8 Distinctions and 10 Merits,
